His Mercies Are New Every Day // Jason Souza

The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end;they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22–23(ESV)

God's mercies, the gifts He provides to those of His children who choose to live in relationship with Him, are new each day. They regenerate. They are never used up or run out. And, taken in total, these gifts make up the Good News of God's Kingdom. Good News that is far richer and more applicable to daily life than merely avoiding eternal damnation.

While all of these gifts are shared abundantly each day, some may feel more relevant to our individual daily circumstances. Take a look at the following list. Learn what His daily mercies are. Give thanks each day for those that seem particular to your life, where you are.

God Forgives and Redeems
Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
Psalm 103:2–5(ESV)

He Makes Us New and Frees Us From The Past

2 Corinthians 5:17(ESV)

He Is Bigger Than Our Battles
‘Ah, Lord GOD! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you.
Jeremiah 32:17(ESV)

When We Are Weak, He Is Strong
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
2 Corinthians 12:9–10(ESV)

He Provides Us With Purpose
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28(ESV)

He Encourages Us To Choose Joy
Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice insofar as you share Christ’s sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed.
1 Peter 4:12–13(ESV)

He Takes Us Into His Care
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.I will say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.
Psalm 91:1-2, 4(ESV)

He Is In Control
“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”
Psalm 46:10(ESV)

He Knows Our Way
But he knows the way that I take;when he has tried me, I shall come out as gold.
Job 23:10(ESV)

He Is WITH Us
All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet: “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us).
Matthew 1:22–23(ESV)

And feel free to add to the list. There is always room for more.

Think about it.
