How To De-stress Your Family's Pandemic Holidays // Jason Souza

"This may be the perfect year for us to figure out what our family does best and stop worrying about the rest.”

I spoke, briefly, Sunday about how the observance of Advent can create personal space to disengage from all the distractions of the season. This is a valuable practice as, under normal circumstances, the holiday season can be particularly stressful.

The attached article calls out some of the disappointments of the season in which we find ourselves. Some of them may hit especially close to home. It also details some ways to "...keep disappointment at bay this pandemic holiday season".

It will be easy to focus on all that is different or missing this Christmas. But, as Advent teaches us, the pandemic cannot take away your joy. It cannot take away your peace. It cannot take away your hope or your love.
