Me
When you are too busy, as most of us are these days, thoughts about God, your soul, your spirit, and your priorities tend to get put on the backburner. That is if they are entertained at all. This level of busyness has us living in a constant state of stress, fatigue, confusion, and anxiety. Not exactly the abundant life Jesus promised, is it?
In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus tells us that by prioritizing God's Kingdom and His righteousness in our lives, everything else we need will be provided (Matthew 6:33). While this particular section of the chapter was specifically focused on money and material goods, I believe the statement is also true concerning time.
When we prioritize God, when we actively, intentionally spend time in His presence, He begins to reshape our thinking. He directs us in reprioritizing the things in our lives. He makes clear what we should keep, and what we should abandon. And, in the process, we find more time because we have less demands on it.
It may seem counterintuitive that the way to find more time is by adding something else to our already full plates. But God Himself tells us that trying to spin those plates without Him is just an exercise in futility.
Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.
Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.
It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil;
for he gives to his beloved sleep.

Think about it.
