Do you like to do things YOUR way? Do you have a hard time giving up control? (I’m raising my hand with most of you!)
Personally, it’s one of the hardest struggles I have. There have been so many times that I have found myself in situations that were beyond my ability where I’ve HAD to depend on God to get me through and take care of the situation. I believe that He puts us in that place sometimes to get our attention.
2 Corinthians 1:8-9 says, “For we do not want you to be unaware, brothers, of the affliction we experienced in Asia. For we were so utterly burdened beyond our strength that we despaired of life itself. Indeed, we felt that we had received the sentence of death. But that was to make us rely not on ourselves but on God who raises the dead.”
