Pray Without Ceasing - 1 Thessalonians 5:17 KJV

If you would like someone to pray for you email pray@c3ak.com

† "Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven." - Matthew 18:19 NIV

Prayer is a conversation with God our creator, a good communion with the Father is a two way conversation where we not only speak but listen as He speaks to our heart. In the beginning Christians typically start their dialogue with a list of "give me this", or "I want that" and quickly get discouraged when they don't get the answers that they hoped for. Disillusionment sets in and many give up before they make the first mile with the Lord.

† But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul. - Deuteronomy 4:29 NIV

Those that stay around a little longer and are willing to spend some real time in prayer without watching the clock notice a change in the path their meditation time begins to take. Talking with brothers and sisters that have been walking in the Spirit for a number of years they discover that God made us to worship, love and adore Him. It is His desire that ALL His creation worships Him.

† So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, - Colossians 2:6 NIV

† 1 Praise the LORD. Praise the LORD from the heavens, praise him in the heights above. 2 Praise him, all his angels, praise him, all his heavenly hosts. 3 Praise him, sun and moon, praise him, all you shining stars. 4 Praise him, you highest heavens and you waters above the skies.  5 Let them praise the name of the LORD, for he commanded and they were created. 6 He set them in place for ever and ever; he gave a decree that will never pass away. 7 Praise the LORD from the earth, you great sea creatures and all ocean depths, 8 lightning and hail, snow and clouds, stormy winds that do his bidding, 9 you mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars, 10 wild animals and all cattle, small creatures and flying birds, 11 kings of the earth and all nations, you princes and all rulers on earth, 12 young men and maidens, old men and children. 13 Let them praise the name of the LORD, for his name alone is exalted; his splendor is above the earth and the heavens. 14 He has raised up for his people a horn, the praise of all his saints, of Israel, the people close to his heart. Praise the LORD. - Psalm 148 NIV

When we enter the heavenly throne room to start our meditation time focusing our mind and spirit on God and worshiping Him rather than dwelling on ourselves our encounters with the Lord become real and exciting. A place that we long to go to each day and are reluctant to leave as the time slips away and we leave the spiritual realm and re-enter the physical world where our body resides. Christians often forget or don't fully understand that we are a spirit living in the body that we were given at our birth. We eat food and work hard at the gym to build up our earthly body and to our great loss neglect our spirit which also needs daily feeding and is the only part of us that will live eternally with our heavenly Father.

Try starting your quiet time with the Lord by confessing hidden sinful thoughts and deeds that weigh you down, remember that He already knows what you have done and wants you to repent of the sin in your life so that the fellowship between you and the Father can be restored to the fullness and intimacy that the Father desires for all His children.

† if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. - 2 Chronicles 7:14 NIV

† You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. - Jeremiah 29:13 NIV

† Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.  See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. - Psalm 139: 23-24 NIV

Then move on to praising Him, search through the Psalms to discover how the ancients praised and worshiped God. Read them quietly inside yourself read them out loud to the Father, the spoken Word is very powerful and able to heal our broken hearts and fill us with the joy that is available to all believers.

† 1 Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth. 2 Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. 3 Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. 5 For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations. - Psalm 100 NIV

When our spirit leaves this earthly vessel and goes to be with the Lord we shall be spending a lot of time praising and worshiping Him why not start that journey now?

† 6 Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude, like the roar of rushing waters and like loud peals of thunder, shouting: "Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns. 7 Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready. 8 Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear." (Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of the saints.) - Revelation 19: 6-8 NIV

† Pray without ceasing. - 1 Thessalonians 5:17 KJV

† Be cheerful no matter what; pray all the time; thank God no matter what happens. This is the way God wants you who belong to Christ Jesus to live. - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 The Message

† Be unceasing in prayer. - 1 Thessalonians 5:17 Amplified Bible
